Need our help?

The word hospice should not seem scary and getting support from us doesn’t have to mean a child’s death is imminent. Helping to enrich the lives of the children and their families is at the heart of our service, our end of life and bereavement support is just a part of what we do.

Our children’s hospice service covers the whole of Berkshire and into surrounding counties. Anyone can make a referral to Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service and if you think your child may be eligible for our services, please do get in touch.

All you amazing Santa Dashers - you ran, jogged, scootered, walked and helped us raise a phenomenal amount of money last Sunday.

Over 400 of you joined us in Windsor (and also virtually) to kick off the festive season. Thanks to all your amazing fundraising efforts, we have so far managed to raise nearly £30,000! Incredible!

Our heartfelt thanks to Horler and Associates Limited, who sponsored our event again this year. Thanks to them, every single penny of your entry ticket and money raised will go towards providing specialist care and support to those that rely on our children’s hospice service.

Sunday’s event would not have been possible without the support of a group of amazing people. There are so many to thank and they include:
🌟Windsor Royal Ambassadors
🌟Admiral Sir James Francis Perowne KBE
🌟Our team of volunteers
🌟Our entertainers and MC - Johnny Stokes from JWS Fitness & Wellbeing - Berkshire & Hampshire, Fizzy Wizz the Elf, Rock Choir and Mike Watt
🌟 Cinnamon Cafe, Sweaty Betty and Bill's Restaurant in Windsor for their generous festive treats and offers
🌟 Innovate
🌟 Jigsaw Events
🌟 Paul Jackson
🌟 Our photographers - Mike Bleakley and Roger Smith
🌟 Windsor shops and residents for accommodating us
…and of course every single one of you that took part, including many of the wonderful families that we support.

Keep an eye out as we will be adding a Santa Dash photo album to our Facebook page in the next few weeks.

Same time next year? 🎅🏃 (Sunday 27th November 2022!)

This December we want to share with you some of the different ways we bring comfort and joy to the children and families that we support, all thanks to your support.

It's Day 1 and look who's behind today's door...

Life for Harry is very different to most children his age. 5 year old Harry was born with a rare neurological condition called Moebius syndrome. It means he can’t smile, blink or move his eyes. He is also very weak and can’t sit up or walk. He struggles to swallow so is fed through a peg tube.

Harry’s family are determined to make sure Harry has every opportunity to experience things other children his age do. And visits to our hospice do just that. As well as an opportunity for much-needed respite for his parents, it is also the chance for Harry to have fun, whether that is splashing in the pool, playing in the playground or enjoying music therapy.

You can help continue to bring comfort and joy to children like Harry by donating to our Christmas Appeal ➡
