A Tradition Steeped in Love
Our Scrummy Mummy Curry Night holds a cherished place in the heart of Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service. The event is named after the affectionate nickname Alexander gave to his mum, Fiona Devine MBE, our CEO and Founder. It also celebrates some of Alexander’s favourite foods, making this a meaningful evening for all who attend.
What started in 2010 as a small gathering at Alexander’s school with Fiona serving homemade curry has grown into a beloved annual tradition. Over the past 16 years, it has raised vital funds to support children and families facing life-limiting conditions.

The word hospice should not seem scary and getting support from us doesn’t have to mean a child’s death is imminent. Helping to enrich the lives of the children and their families is at the heart of our service, our end of life and bereavement support is just a part of what we do.
