Give regularly and make every moment count

We rely on regular donations to our children’s hospice service to make every moment count for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their families.

Moments that are full of joy, fun and happiness. Moments just like these…

Knitted hearts

£5 each month

could buy arts and craft resources, allowing a child to make precious keepsakes for their family

Boy plays with lego sunflower

£10 each month

could fund time in our sensory room, helping a child to explore the world around them

Child plays in ball pit

£15 each month

would give one of our siblings the chance to get together, play and have fun at a special sibling day, spending time with others in a similar situation

Children playing in daycare

£50 each month

would fund time at our hospice for a child, giving them opportunities for fun and play as well as specialist clinical care

A special community of people

As well as helping helping to change lives, giving a regular gift to Alexander Devine means you will be invited to join us at our hospice for coffee mornings  and receive updates on the impact your regular donations make.

Other ways your kindness could make a difference

A gift in your Will

We understand that when writing your Will your loved ones must come first. But not only could your Will help secure your family’s future, it could also help ensure the future of our much-needed children’s hospice service. That’s why we are pleased to be able to offer our supporters a free Will writing service with Beyond.

Every gift can make a positive difference to the lives of the children and families we support. Big or small, it is what these gifts achieve together that makes them so incredible.

Payroll giving

Payroll giving via ‘Give As You Earn’ is a simple and effective way to donate a regular amount to Alexander Devine. It’s very easy to set up, and it allows us to plan ahead, knowing that there is a regular income stream coming in.

You can donate straight from your gross salary, and receive immediate tax relief, so if you donate £25, it will only cost you £19.50. If you would like to contribute in this way, just contact your Payroll Department and ask if they already operate a ‘Give As You Earn’ scheme and, if they do, say that you would like to sign up.

Gifts in memory

Fundraising in memory of a loved one can make a fitting tribute to that special person and the funds raised will help future generations.

You can do this using our Just Giving page. Click on the ‘Fundraise for us’ button, log in or register and then select us as your charity. You can then create a ‘Remembering Someone’ page and invite people to donate.

If you are organising or attending the funeral of family or close friend, you might like to commemorate their life by donating to Alexander Devine rather than buying or sending flowers. Contact us on 01628 822777 or email fundraising@alexanderdevine.org for more information.

Remember our very special Christmas gift from Volvo? 🚗🎁

It’s a gift that really has been making a huge difference to us at Alexander Devine, especially in helping us provide additional support for families like Huzaifah's.

Huzaifah, who is not yet two years old, up until earlier this year had spent just 7 weeks of his life out of hospital. Our team have been supporting the family in trying to keep him safe at home as much as possible, and now we can also help the family with taking him to his hospital appointments for vital treatment.

Using the car meant our Alexander's Nurses and Carers could safely transport Huzaifah along with his wheelchair, additional oxygen cylinders, suction machine and the extra team members we need to keep him safe during the journey.

Thank you Volvo for helping us make even more of a difference to children and families that we support.

…and relax!

With its mesmerising lights and rainbow of colours, our sensory room is a wonderfully calm environment for the babies, children and young people that we support to explore.

After a busy morning splashing in the pool, getting messy in the creative zone or playing outside in the gardens, it’s the perfect place to unwind (for Alexander’s Nurses and Carers too!)
