Fundraising at school

There are so many ways that you can support Alexander Devine at nursery, school, college or university!

Fundraising can be fun, educational and rewarding.  It’s a great way for children and young people to play an active part in making a real difference in their local community.

Your school can help raise awareness about Alexander Devine and raise vital funds to ensure that children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and their families, get the specialist care and vital support they need.

Your support will change lives. Every penny you raise will help make precious memories and make every moment matter for local families.

We have created a fun and educational programme that has everything you need including engaging assemblies, creative fundraising ideas and activities.  Get in touch with our Community Fundraiser, Jazmin Parker, to find out more and request a copy of our fundraising pack. Please call 01628 822777 or email jazminp@alexanderdevine.org

Together we can change lives

Life-changing support for children like Talia

“Alexander Devine stepped in and made such an unforgettable impact on our lives. They’ve enabled us to watch Talia enjoy a new, safe and exciting environment, give respite from her medical demands, and most importantly backed us as a family through every step of our journey.” – Gemma, Talia’s mum

Even the grown ups can get involved too!

Are you a member of a Parent Teachers Association (PTA)? As well as fundraising for your child’s school, you could also help change the lives of families in your neighbourhood who rely on our children’s hospice service.

However you choose to support our charity we are so grateful

Not sure how to make a difference?

Here’s just a few fundraising ideas to get you started…

It was 8 year old Alexander’s favourite colour – why not hold a blue day when everyone has to dress in as much blue as possible?

Make it add up

Which class can bring the most spare change into school and fill their jar to the top?

Make a night of it

Movie, quiz or bingo – you choose the treat and with some creative fundraising on the night it could be a treat for us too!

Make it challenging

1k, 2k, 3k or more! Get active and raise vital funds for your vital school resources and our vital services

Make a sale

Cakes, toys, books…let the pupils decide!

Make it lucky

A simple raffle to see whose birthday date is the luckiest!

Remember our very special Christmas gift from Volvo? 🚗🎁

It’s a gift that really has been making a huge difference to us at Alexander Devine, especially in helping us provide additional support for families like Huzaifah's.

Huzaifah, who is not yet two years old, up until earlier this year had spent just 7 weeks of his life out of hospital. Our team have been supporting the family in trying to keep him safe at home as much as possible, and now we can also help the family with taking him to his hospital appointments for vital treatment.

Using the car meant our Alexander's Nurses and Carers could safely transport Huzaifah along with his wheelchair, additional oxygen cylinders, suction machine and the extra team members we need to keep him safe during the journey.

Thank you Volvo for helping us make even more of a difference to children and families that we support.

…and relax!

With its mesmerising lights and rainbow of colours, our sensory room is a wonderfully calm environment for the babies, children and young people that we support to explore.

After a busy morning splashing in the pool, getting messy in the creative zone or playing outside in the gardens, it’s the perfect place to unwind (for Alexander’s Nurses and Carers too!)
