Great British Bake Off Finalist Josh Smalley Brings Joy to the Hospice
In a heartwarming visit, Great British Bake Off finalist Josh Smalley recently spent the day at Alexander Devine, baking and creating memories with our own star baker, Habibah, at the hospice.
Josh’s presence brought smiles, laughter, and a genuine sense of joy, making this day particularly special for everyone involved. His visit has not only raised awareness of the hospice’s work but also highlighted the positive impact that engaging activities can have on children. Alex Pettyfer’s Run for Alexander Devine: A Global Fundraising Effort
Hollywood actor and supporter of ours, Alex Pettyfer, took on the Rome Half Marathon in October, running in support of Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service.
Alex’s determination and dedication helped him complete the 13.1 mile course in two hours and two minutes, and he raised awareness for us on an international scale. He also brought in an incredible £2,000 in donations. We are beyond grateful for his efforts. Every step he took is a testament to the global community rallying around the babies, children, young people and families we care for. Thank you, Alex, for being a true advocate for our cause!

A Generous Gift from the Mayor of Windsor & Maidenhead
We are thrilled to announce a generous donation of over £6,000 from the Mayor of Windsor & Maidenhead, Councillor Simon Bond.
Raised at a charity dinner in September, this contribution will go directly toward our specialist care services, providing invaluable support to children and families facing life-limiting conditions. The dinner featured an inspiring talk by our virtual running coach, Harry Hunter, who shared his incredible story of resilience after completing the Marathon des Sables.
The funds from this donation will support essential services. A heartfelt thank you to Councillor Bond, Harry, and everyone who attended and contributed to this incredible evening.

Need our help?
The word hospice should not seem scary and getting support from us doesn’t have to mean a child’s death is imminent. Helping to enrich the lives of the children and their families is at the heart of our service, our end of life and bereavement support is just a part of what we do.
Our children’s hospice service covers the whole of Berkshire and into surrounding counties. If you think your child may be eligible for our services, please do get in touch.
