Our £11,000 biking hero

School teacher, Chris Best, cycled all the way from Land’s End to John O’Groats over ten days to raise money for us.

He devoted his half-term to this challenge, battling heavy rain and winds throughout Scotland. Special thanks go to those hotel owners who offered sponsorship with free accommodation, as well as several friends and colleagues who cycled par of the journey with Chris.

He also inspired his pupils at Bradfield College to help him smash his fundraising target with 50 of them taking part in a ‘Best the Bike’ challenge prior to his own big cycle ride.

The final total Chris managed to raise is a magnificent £11,265.25.

Well done Chris and a huge thank you from us all!

Need our help?

The word hospice should not seem scary and getting support from us doesn’t have to mean a child’s death is imminent. Helping to enrich the lives of the children and their families is at the heart of our service, our end of life and bereavement support is just a part of what we do.

Our children’s hospice service covers the whole of Berkshire and into surrounding counties. If you think your child may be eligible for our services, please do get in touch.
