Our volunteers – a force for good!
At the end of National Volunteers Week, we took the opportunity to personally thank each and every one of our volunteers at our annual Volunteers BBQ.
Did you know that last year, our team of 135 volunteers (from all corners of Berkshire and the surrounding communities) gave up over 5,300 hours of their time to help us, which equated to a whopping contribution of over £52,100? From bucket collections to grass cutting, care support to helping run community events, every minute of their time makes a massive difference to us.
So thank you again to every single one of them for their generosity, enthusiasm and time. It really does go without saying that we could not function without our committed volunteers.
Need our help?
The word hospice should not seem scary and getting support from us doesn’t have to mean a child’s death is imminent. Helping to enrich the lives of the children and their families is at the heart of our service, our end of life and bereavement support is just a part of what we do.
Our children’s hospice service covers the whole of Berkshire and into surrounding counties. If you think your child may be eligible for our services, please do get in touch.
