Pedal Power!
Upton House Nursery pupils once again took to their scooters and bikes for their annual charity pedal push and this year raised a record amount of over £6,330!
47 pupils took part in the event and Sue Bish, Head of Early Years at Upton House, praised the determination of all those involved:
“Taking part in the Nursery Pedal Push has become an annual event since it started in 2004. The children are always very excited to bring their bicycles and scooters in to school to show their friends and to experience riding around the course.
The sun was shining this year, despite the rainy start to the day, and the children were able to take part happily enjoying the music which added to the atmosphere. Plenty of balloons showed the children the route around the course and all the children took time and care displaying great spatial awareness. Any small crashes were met with determination and perseverance as the children brushed themselves off and got back on their bike to complete the 10 laps.
Congratulations go to all participants for such a wonderful achievement.”
