Celebrating Community Support: October Highlights at Alexander Devine

This October, Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service has been fortunate to witness extraordinary support from our local community, with many coming together to raise funds and awareness through a series of heartfelt events.

From walks and waves to a galaxy far, far away, each of these events has provided a unique way for people to show their support for the children and families in our care. Here’s a look back at some of the wonderful efforts from this month.

Candle of Remembrance: Wave of Light for Baby Loss Awareness Week

In a moving tribute during Baby Loss Awareness Week, we joined the global “Wave of Light” event to honour babies who have gone too soon. The hospice joined many other people worldwide in lighting a candle, offering families a peaceful space to remember their loved ones.

A truly heartfelt event that provided comfort and remembrance for families who have experienced loss.

Need our help?

The word hospice should not seem scary and getting support from us doesn’t have to mean a child’s death is imminent. Helping to enrich the lives of the children and their families is at the heart of our service, our end of life and bereavement support is just a part of what we do.

Our children’s hospice service covers the whole of Berkshire and into surrounding counties. If you think your child may be eligible for our services, please do get in touch.
