Thank You to the Mayor for Raising over £6,000 for Alexander Devine
At Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service, we are profoundly grateful for the generosity of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead’s Mayor, Councillor Simon Bond, and his consort, David Armitage, who recently hosted a fundraising dinner in aid of our charity.
Thanks to the incredible efforts of the mayor, guests and the local community, the event raised an astonishing £6,082, which will go directly towards supporting children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their families.
The dinner was held at the stunning Windsor Guildhall.
Steeped in history, Windsor Guildhall is a venue that perfectly encapsulates the grandeur of Windsor itself. Situated just a stone’s throw away from Windsor Castle, it has long been a focal point for significant events and gatherings. The Guildhall’s regal interiors and rich heritage provided a stunning backdrop for an extraordinary night.
Making a Difference
This donation will make a significant difference in ensuring that we can continue to provide essential care and support services. Every penny raised will help us deliver much-needed care, specialist therapies and support to those who rely on our services.
Our hospice is committed to offering the highest quality of care for children and families facing incredibly challenging circumstances. From tailored medical care and therapeutic activities to supporting siblings and parents, our goal is to ensure that no family faces their journey alone.
The funds raised at the Mayor’s dinner will help us to ensure that we can meet the needs of the children and families that depend on us.
The fundraising dinner was a wonderful demonstration of the power of community spirit, and we are deeply touched by the support we continue to receive from the mayor and local residents.
Their generosity ensures that we can keep delivering care that brings comfort and joy to the lives of the children we support, allowing them and their families to make cherished memories together.
Thank You to Everyone Involved
We would like to extend a special thank you to everyone who attended the event, donated, and contributed to its success. Your support is truly life-changing, and it is heartening to see how much the local community believes in our cause.
With the support of generous individuals and the community, we can continue to provide the vital care services that make such a positive difference in the lives of families across Berkshire and beyond. Together, we are helping children with complex needs live their lives to the fullest, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
If you would like to support us or learn more about our work, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us at Alexander Devine. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, helps us bring hope and care to the children and families who need us most.
Thank you once again to the mayor, all the attendees, and the wider community for your outstanding generosity and unwavering support.
Need our help?
The word hospice should not seem scary and getting support from us doesn’t have to mean a child’s death is imminent. Helping to enrich the lives of the children and their families is at the heart of our service, our end of life and bereavement support is just a part of what we do.
Our children’s hospice service covers the whole of Berkshire and into surrounding counties. If you think your child may be eligible for our services, please do get in touch.
