On the fifth day of Christmas, we’re diving into something truly special… Five Hydrotherapy Sessions! 

At Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service, our hydrotherapy pool is so much more than just a place to splash around. It’s a hub of warmth, joy, and relaxation for the babies, children, and families we care for. This Christmas, we’re sharing five wonderful reasons why our hydrotherapy pool makes such a difference – and why your support helps keep this magical space available for families who need it most. 

1. Family Splash Sessions – Creating Precious Memories 

Family time is at the heart of everything we do, and the hydrotherapy pool is one of the best places for families to spend quality time together. In the warm, calming water, children and their families can forget about appointments, treatments, and everyday worries for a little while. 

2. Fun, Laughter, and Joy – Smiles All Round! 

There’s nothing quite like the sound of giggles echoing around our pool. The hydrotherapy sessions bring so much happiness to the children and families who use it. The weightlessness of the water often helps children move in ways that might otherwise be difficult, which can spark so much joy. 

3. An Exclusive and Private Space – Just for Our Families 

Unlike public swimming pools, our hydrotherapy pool is a completely private space, ensuring that families feel comfortable and relaxed. This privacy makes a huge difference for children with complex medical needs or sensory sensitivities, as they can enjoy the pool at their own pace, free from the hustle and bustle of busy public spaces. 

4. Music Therapy in the Pool

Our wonderful music therapist often brings her magical musicals to the pool. Imagine the sound of soft singing echoing over the water as children float and relax. Combining the benefits of hydrotherapy with music therapy creates a truly special experience.
