A Christmas Party to Remember: Celebrating the Joy of Our Children 

On Saturday 15th December 2024, the spirit of Christmas came alive for the children and families of Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service at our annual kids’ Christmas party. Held at the stunning De Vere Beaumont in Old Windsor, the day was filled with laughter, magic, and unforgettable moments. 

We are incredibly grateful to the De Vere Beaumont for generously hosting this special event. The venue was transformed into a winter wonderland, with delicious food and drinks that delighted children and adults alike. The De Vere team’s attention to detail and warm hospitality created the perfect setting for this magical day. 

Our heartfelt thanks go to every single care volunteer who gave their time and energy to make the event extraordinary. At Alexander Devine, volunteers are the backbone of everything we do, and their dedication ensures that we can continue providing exceptional care and support.

This party would not have been possible without their enthusiasm and hard work. From decorating the venue to guiding activities and supporting families, their contributions were invaluable. 

This gratitude extends to the whole care team, who went above and beyond on the day to make sure the party was as fun as it was!

A massive thank you to Fizzy Whizz Entertainment for adding an extra layer of fun and excitement to the day. The ever lively and bubbly entertainer brought big smiles to little faces with her incredible energy, boundless enthusiasm and unbridled creativity.  

We were thrilled to welcome the Joker Squad to the party. These talented performers added a touch of galactic magic with their spectacular costumes and interactive appearances. The children (but mostly the dads!) were overjoyed to meet their favourite characters, including Chewbacca in a Santa Hat which was worth its festive weight in gold, and the Joker Squad’s presence truly brought the party to life. 

The Welsh Guards made the day even more memorable with their heartwarming involvement. Their presence brought smiles and a sense of wonder to the event. We are deeply grateful for their time and the joy they shared with our children and families.  

Spread a Smile once again lived up to their name, creating beautiful moments that will be cherished forever. Their creative activities and captivating performances ensured that every child felt special and celebrated. Thank you for spreading so much happiness on this magical day.

We also extend our gratitude to N2o for their fantastic support. Their team brought an extra sparkle to the day with engaging activities that kept everyone entertained. Thank you for your generosity and for making the event so special. 

But, of course, the highlight of the party was a very special visit from Father Christmas himself. With his jolly laugh and a sack full of gifts, he brought pure magic to the day. The children’s faces lit up with excitement as they met him, creating moments that will be remembered for years to come.  

This year’s Christmas party was a shining example of what can be achieved when a community comes together. The laughter and joy shared on this day reminds us why we do what we do at Alexander Devine. We are endlessly grateful to everyone who made this event possible, from our dedicated volunteers to our generous partners and supporters. Together, you created a day of love, joy, and connection for the children and families we care for. 

As we look back on this magical day, we are filled with gratitude and a renewed sense of purpose. Thank you for helping us bring the spirit of Christmas to life and for making such a meaningful difference in the lives of our families. Here’s to many more moments of joy and togetherness in the year to come.
