Join Our Team: Exciting Opportunity for a Nursing Associate (Band 4)

At Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, as well as their families. Every day, we strive to make a difference by creating a warm, supportive, and caring environment where children and families can find comfort, joy, and relief.

To continue delivering the highest level of care, we are excited to announce a new opportunity to join our team as a Nursing Associate (Band 4).

This role offers a unique and rewarding chance to be part of our compassionate and specialist team based at our children’s hospice in Maidenhead.

As a Nursing Associate, you will play an integral role in supporting children and families through the most challenging times. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, care professionals, and therapists, you’ll contribute to delivering high-quality, personalised care that is tailored to each child’s unique needs.

About the Role

As a Nursing Associate, you will be involved in providing holistic care across a range of services, including respite care, symptom management, palliative care, and end-of-life care.

This will involve working closely with families to ensure their children are cared for with dignity, compassion, and respect, while supporting their emotional and practical needs.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of care for children with life-limiting conditions.
  • Supporting the work of registered nurses and care professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children and their families.
  • Providing hands-on, compassionate care in a variety of settings, including the hospice and family homes.
  • Collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing and supportive environment.

Why Join Us?

Working at Alexander Devine is more than just a job – it’s an opportunity to be part of something truly special. Our hospice is a place where every team member plays a vital role in improving the quality of life for children and their families. Here, you will find:

  • A supportive and welcoming team who are passionate about the work we do.
  • Opportunities for personal and professional development to help you grow in your role.
  • The chance to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of the families we support.
  • A working environment where compassion, kindness, and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.

If you have a passion for children’s palliative care and a desire to make a difference, we would love to hear from you.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a team setting, values holistic care, and is ready to take the next step in their career.
