Thanks to Seb, Ian and Michel: Raising Smiles and Funds for Alexander Devine
November has now come to an end, and with it, men can now shave again after Movember – the annual global campaign inspiring men to grow moustaches and raise awareness of men’s health issues, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health.
At Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service, we’re thrilled to have the support of three dashing Mo Bro’s from Desert Palm Polo Club in Dubai, who were taking on the challenge with style.
Led by polo professional Sebastian Dawnay and joined by Ian Fleming D’Mello and Michel Nassar, this dynamic team is combining their love of sport with a passion for giving back.
Movember is more than a fun excuse to grow quirky facial hair (or to take “absurd whispy bandito pics” as their Instagram said on launch!), it’s a movement that sparks important conversations about health and wellbeing. Every hair grown on their upper lips this month is a symbol of solidarity, raising much-needed funds for charities like ours that support families facing the toughest challenges.
Sebastian, Ian, and Michel are sporting their moustaches with pride and hope to raise as much money as possible to support our vital work. Supporters and fundraisers like them are the lifeblood of the work we do, supporting babies, children and young people with life-limiting and life-altering conditions
To see their progress over the course of the month, you can follow their progress on Instagram at @desertpalmpolo and join us in applauding their efforts to make a difference.
Let’s support these magnificent moustaches and the incredible cause behind them! There’s still time to donate or learn more, visit their fundraising page here.
Together, we can turn Movember into a month of hope and support for those who need it most.
Seb and some of his incredible polo friends kindly put their own spin on the Movember challenge growing a Mustache throughout November to help raise vital funds for our children’s hospice service. Together, they raised an incredible £3,273.54!
A huge thank you to Seb and all of his friends for getting involved!
Need our help?
The word hospice should not seem scary and getting support from us doesn’t have to mean a child’s death is imminent. Helping to enrich the lives of the children and their families is at the heart of our service, our end of life and bereavement support is just a part of what we do.
Our children’s hospice service covers the whole of Berkshire and into surrounding counties. If you think your child may be eligible for our services, please do get in touch.
