Join Fiona Devine MBE on the Camino de Santiago Trek in 2025
We are thrilled to invite you to an extraordinary adventure led by our Founder and CEO, Fiona Devine MBE. From 14th to 21st September 2025, Fiona will guide a group of dedicated supporters along the historic Camino de Santiago, traversing the picturesque landscapes of Portugal and Northern Spain.
This journey offers a unique opportunity to challenge yourself, immerse in rich cultural heritage, and make a meaningful impact by supporting Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service.
Why Participate?
The Camino de Santiago, a pilgrimage route with over a thousand years of history, is renowned for its breathtaking scenery and profound personal significance. By joining this trek, you will not only embark on a path of self-discovery but also contribute to a cause that provides essential care and support to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.
Fiona Devine shares her inspiration for undertaking this journey:
“Of all the challenges I have undertaken for my charity, I would have to say this is the one I am most excited about. I have always wanted to walk the Camino de Santiago for a variety of reasons.”
“The opportunity to walk a pilgrim route that is over a thousand years old and steeped in so much history, to disconnect to reconnect with yourself, to meet all manner of wonderful and interesting people on the Camino, to experience another culture and view some incredible landscapes and historical buildings, to raise vital funds for our Children’s Hospice Service, to walk in nature and take time out to nurture yourself are some of the reasons I am motivated to walk, but the main one has to be for my son Alexander, to walk in his memory.”
“If you feel that you would like to set yourself, not just a physical challenge but a personal one too, join me on this authentic, beautiful, insightful and transformative journey.”

Need our help?
The word hospice should not seem scary and getting support from us doesn’t have to mean a child’s death is imminent. Helping to enrich the lives of the children and their families is at the heart of our service, our end of life and bereavement support is just a part of what we do.
Our children’s hospice service covers the whole of Berkshire and into surrounding counties. If you think your child may be eligible for our services, please do get in touch.
