Thank You to the Phoenix Ukulele Band for Their Generous Donation 

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Phoenix Ukulele Band, with members from Wokingham, Woodley, Reading and surrounding areas, for their generous donation of £500 to Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service. This incredible amount was raised through their vibrant local performances, which have brought joy and music to so many. 

Known for their distinctive pink Hawaiian shirts and lively sets, the Phoenix Ukulele Band is a group of talented musicians who embody the spirit of fun and community. Last week, we were delighted to welcome Geraldine and Paula from the band to our hospice for a tour, where we had the chance to show them how their support makes a difference to the children and families we care for. 

At Alexander Devine, we strongly believe in the power of music. It is a cornerstone of our creative therapies, with a dedicated music therapist on our team who provides tailored sessions to help children express themselves, find comfort, and explore their creativity. This shared belief in music’s transformative impact makes our connection with the Phoenix Ukulele Band so special.
