Protect What Matters Most With Alexander Devine’s Write Your Will Week

Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service is encouraging local people to plan for the future and protect the people they love, as it partners with NE Family Law for a special Write Your Will Week this October.

On Tuesday 20th October, Madeline from NE Family Law will generously offer in-person, telephone or video Will writing appointments throughout the day, in exchange for a suggested donation to Alexander Devine.

Madeline Harris, Consultant Solicitor and Head of Wills & Probate from NE Family Law will help people write a new Will or update an existing one, with suggested donations of £130 for a basic Will or £200 for a mirror Will helping to raise vital funds for the babies, children, young people and families supported by Alexander Devine.

Madeline said:

“Writing a Will means that you can protect those you love and make life as easy as possible for them at a time that is going to be very difficult. It allows you to consider not only where your assets would go, but also to appoint guardians for minor children or put trusts in place for vulnerable beneficiaries.”

She added: “A lot of clients say they were nervous before attending a meeting and worried it would be complicated. I like clients to feel relaxed and at ease. We let the client guide us on what they want and work together to achieve it.”

Alexander Devine supporter Jackie, who took part in a previous Write Your Will Week at the hospice, said: “The solicitor was extremely knowledgeable and supportive. I would highly recommend those who wish to write a Will to use this service.”
