Spadeoak Walk a Journey of over 10 Miles and More Than £1,000 Raised
Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the team at Spadeoak, who recently walked over ten miles from their HQ to ours, raising over £1,000 in the process.
On Thursday 12th September 2024, the team from Spadeoak took on an inspiring challenge, walking from their office in Wooburn Green, Buckinghamshire, to Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice in Maidenhead, Berkshire. The ten-mile walk took just over three hours, raising more than £1,000 to support the hospice’s vital work.
Matthew Tranter, Managing Director of Spadeoak, expressed his pride in the team’s efforts: “It was a fantastic team effort, and I’m grateful to everyone who donated. The walk not only helped raise funds for a great cause, but also gave our team an opportunity to challenge themselves and motivate others.”
Spadeoak, a leading UK provider of external works, is known for its expertise in surfacing and civil engineering projects. With a strong commitment to supporting the community, the company’s recent walk demonstrated both their teamwork and dedication to giving back.
Tai Bishop, Lead for Corporate and Community Partnerships at Alexander Devine, expressed her gratitude for their efforts: “We are truly humbled by the incredible effort from the Spadeoak team. Their dedication and generosity will make a meaningful difference to the children and families we support. On behalf of everyone at the hospice, thank you!”
This fundraising success shows the positive impact local businesses can have in the community, and Alexander Devine is deeply grateful for Spadeoak’s continued support.
There’s Still Time to Give!
Though the walk has now come to an end, it’s not too late to contribute. You can still donate and help push the total even higher.
We are always looking for more people and organisations to get involved in similar challenges, so if you’re inspired by Spadeoak’s fantastic walk, why not organise your own event?
Whether it’s a walk, a run, or something completely different, your efforts will help us continue our vital work. Get in touch with us today and see how you can make a difference!
