A huge thank you at our Regular Supporters and Volunteers Coffee Morning

We were delighted to welcome so many of you to our recent coffee morning at our Children’s Hospice.

It was a wonderful chance to gather our incredible community of supporters and volunteers under one roof, all sharing in our commitment to providing the best possible care for the babies, children, and young people who are part of our hospice family.

Seeing each of you there and hearing about the diverse ways you contribute reminded us of the remarkable impact we achieve together.

It’s no secret that the care we provide at Alexander Devine would simply not be possible without the continued dedication of our supporters and volunteers.

Whether you give your time in our gardens, help at events, raise awareness, or support us through generous donations, each of you plays a vital role in allowing us to meet the complex and unique needs of the children we provide support for.

We were thrilled to share with you some of the stories that truly capture how your efforts change lives – from the joy we see on a child’s face during music therapy sessions to the comforting hands-on care we are able to offer families at the most challenging of times.

The morning was filled with warm conversations, laughter, and a genuine sense of shared purpose. Many of you expressed how much you enjoy being part of our hospice family, which is a testament to the compassionate spirit that runs through everything we do. We’re deeply grateful to each of you for the time and commitment you give.

A big thank you also goes to our wonderful team who set up and prepared a lovely spread, ensuring everyone felt welcome. These coffee mornings are a time to pause and connect, and your presence made it truly special.

As we move into the busy months ahead, knowing that we have your continued support inspires us to keep doing more for the children and families who rely on us.

Once again, thank you to everyone who attended and to all those who support us in countless ways. Your kindness, whether seen or unseen, is at the heart of our work, and it is deeply appreciated.

We look forward to many more gatherings, memories, and shared moments with our amazing community, as we continue to make a difference together.

Need our help?

The word hospice should not seem scary and getting support from us doesn’t have to mean a child’s death is imminent. Helping to enrich the lives of the children and their families is at the heart of our service, our end of life and bereavement support is just a part of what we do.

Our children’s hospice service covers the whole of Berkshire and into surrounding counties. If you think your child may be eligible for our services, please do get in touch.
