Get Egg-cited for the Big Chick Knit! Craft Smiles This Easter 

Spring is in the air, and at Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service, we are thrilled to launch this year’s Big Chick Knit! This egg-citing campaign brings together crafters, families, and communities to raise vital funds to support children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.  

Whether you are a knowledgeable knitter or a casual crocheter, we need your help to make this year’s event an egg-straordinary success! 

The Big Chick Knit is a three-part campaign, and this month, we are hatching the first phase – recruiting talented and enthusiastic crafters to create adorable knitted or crocheted Easter egg toppers. These charming little chicks, bunnies, and other springtime friends will eventually perch atop chocolate eggs, spreading joy to everyone who sees them.

By taking part, you will not only have an egg-cellent time crafting but also play a key role in helping us provide specialist care and support to babies, children and young people, and their families, across Berkshire and beyond. Every stitch you make and every topper you create will make a difference. 

Plus, it is a wonderful way to connect with others who share your love for crafting. Whether you knit solo or rally your knitting circle, the Big Chick Knit promises to be a cracking good time for all. 

How to Get Involved

What Happens Next? 

Once your toppers are ready and you have sent them into us, we will pair with chocolate eggs during the second phase of the campaign. In the final phase, we will sell these delightful treats across local communities to raise funds for the hospice. But first, we need your help to get knitting!
