About Colleen’s Crafters

Colleen’s crafters is the legacy of Colleen Walker, now lovingly run in her memory by her daughter, Jane Fairchild. After spending many years attending craft fairs in aid of local charities, in 2012, Colleen turned her efforts to focus solely on fundraising for Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service after hearing about our mission and passionately wanting to support.

Over the next 6 years, the group raised an incredible £25,000 for Alexander Devine through attending craft fairs with beautiful handmade items crafted by a team of talented individuals. When Colleen very sadly passed away in 2018, Jane made it her mission to continue to support us in her memory.

Since then, the group has grown to a community of around 30 individual and group crafters, creating items sold at around 40 markets and stalls each year. The group have raised over £70,000 to date, and Jane and her team are a cherished part of the Alexander Devine community.
