Founder and CEO, Fiona Devine, awarded MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours list
We are very proud to share that our Founder and CEO, Fiona Devine, has been awarded the honour of Member of the Order of the British Empire!
“I am delighted to receive an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours list. Whilst I feel an immense sense of personal pride in this recognition, our journey to deliver Berkshire’s first children’s hospice service has been the result of many remarkable individuals putting their time, energy, and dedication into our cause. It has been a privilege to lead this journey and to support so many incredible children and their families along the way.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who took part in the nomination process on my behalf, with a special mention to Debbie Tonkinson and Sally Sharp for coordinating and applying for the award. Also, my amazing children Caitlin, Harry, and my family.
Ultimately, this honour is for Alexander. He epitomised all that was good in this world, he is loved and missed beyond measure.”
Congratulations Fiona!
Need our help?
The word hospice should not seem scary and getting support from us doesn’t have to mean a child’s death is imminent. Helping to enrich the lives of the children and their families is at the heart of our service, our end of life and bereavement support is just a part of what we do.
Our children’s hospice service covers the whole of Berkshire and into surrounding counties. If you think your child may be eligible for our services, please do get in touch.
