Over 140 turn out for Thatcham bootcamp
A charity fitness event held in Thatcham recently by personal trainer, Johnny Stokes, has raised more than £3,000 for Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service.
143 people attended the boot camp at the Henwick Sports Field and were put through their paces by Johnny and his team.
“It was an amazing event,” said Johnny, who runs fitness classes across Berkshire and Hampshire. “We split people up into groups and each group exercised at a different station. There was boxing, sprinting and various other strength building and cardiovascular exercises. Everyone had a great time and I’m delighted we raised so much money for a very worthwhile cause.”
Fionnuala Lawes from the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice said: “There was so much excitement and energy throughout the evening. What an amazing opportunity to share the Alexander Devine story with the local community. We are so grateful for Johnny and his team for helping us to grow and reach out to more extraordinary local families.”
