Maidenhead Half Marathon Returns in 2025

The much-loved Maidenhead Half Marathon is set to make a grand comeback on Sunday 26th October 2025, after a four-year hiatus. Organised for the first time by RunThrough, one of the UK’s leading running events companies, the race promises to deliver an unforgettable experience for runners of all abilities.

Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service is proud to be RunThrough’s Charity of the Year for both the 2025 and 2026 races. As a local charity providing vital care for babies and children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, as well as their families, this partnership presents a fantastic opportunity to raise crucial funds to support the charity’s work across Berkshire and beyond.

Taking runners on a scenic, two-lap route, the course showcases the best of Maidenhead, combining the town’s vibrant centre with its beautiful surrounding countryside. Known for its flat and fast terrain, the fully road-closed route is perfect for those aiming to achieve a new personal best or simply enjoy the thrill of the run, whilst running

Fiona Devine, Alexander Devine MBE Founder and CEO, expressed her excitement about the event’s revival: “We are delighted to see Maidenhead Half Marathon return with RunThrough. The town’s unique charm and welcoming community make it an exceptional venue for runners of all levels. We look forward to seeing people challenge themselves and support our incredible cause.”

Alexander Devine is calling on runners to take part in this exciting event and raise vital funds to help the hospice service continue its essential work. Whether you are a seasoned runner or a first timer, your participation can make a difference in the lives of children and families facing the unimaginable.

Runners who join #TeamDevine will not only enjoy the satisfaction of completing this celebrated race but will also be supporting a cause that directly impacts local families. Every pound raised will go towards providing respite care, creative therapies, end-of-life support, and much-needed services for families navigating extremely difficult journeys.

Participants will receive a free Alexander Devine technical running t-shirt, chip-timed results, free parking, fundraising stewardship with an experienced Alexander Devine fundraiser, post-race refreshments, and official event photographs. With a three-hour cut-off time due to road closures, the race is accessible to runners of all paces.

Need our help?

The word hospice should not seem scary and getting support from us doesn’t have to mean a child’s death is imminent. Helping to enrich the lives of the children and their families is at the heart of our service, our end of life and bereavement support is just a part of what we do.

Our children’s hospice service covers the whole of Berkshire and into surrounding counties. If you think your child may be eligible for our services, please do get in touch.
