Windsor Santa Dash Raises Over £36,000 for Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service

Windsor was filled with festive cheer on Sunday 30th November as 500 Santas took to the streets for the much-loved annual Santa Dash, raising an incredible £36,000 for Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service.

This year’s sell-out event was not only a joyful community celebration, but a powerful display of local generosity. Every pound raised helps Alexander Devine provide specialist care for babies, children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their families, in Berkshire, South Bucks and into surrounding counties.

It will cost £3.4 million to run the hospice service this year, and with 85% of that funded through donations and events like the Santa Dash, the impact of everyone who supported, fundraised and donated is truly extraordinary.

The Santa Dash would not be possible without the dedicated volunteers and supporters who rallied together to create a magical morning. Over 50 volunteers helped prepare the streets of Windsor and marshal the route, while long-time supporters like Fizz from Fizz Whizz Entertainments, E.L Fitness and Jigsaw Events bought energy to the stage and built excitement ahead of the run. Alexander Devine Patron, Lt Gen Phil Jones CB CBE DL, Constable and Governor of Windsor Castle then kindly sent the Santas on their way to start the event.
